Three questions to help you choose

  1. What do you enjoy doing for hours without getting bored? Your major should build on that.
  2. Do you prefer working with machines, numbers, people or ideas? Group the majors above by that answer.
  3. Where do you want to be in five years? If you plan to continue to a TS or Licence Technique, check which majors lead to the higher diploma you want.

Majors with strong demand in Lebanon right now

  • Electricity and renewable energy: solar installations and building work keep electricians busy across the country.
  • Automotive mechanics: modern cars need trained diagnostics technicians. Don Bosco students have met the Mercedes-Benz team on campus.
  • Hospitality: Lebanon’s restaurant and hotel sector values trained staff. Students connect with employers such as Casino du Liban, Babel Restaurants and Zaatar w Zeit.
  • Information technology: every business needs someone to keep its systems running.

Keep your options open

A BT does not lock you in. Graduates can work, move on to a TS in areas such as hotel management, business management or audiovisual, and later reach a Licence Technique. Read our guide to BP, BT, TS and LT to see the full ladder (link to Post 3 once published).
