Health for All: A Day of Care, Community, and Compassion

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and service, the Salesians of Don Bosco, Caritas Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health, and the Italian Army’s MTC4L unit came together to host an inspiring event titled “Health for All” — a one-day initiative dedicated to offering free healthcare and support to underserved communities.

Held with open arms and smiling faces, the event welcomed residents from 18 surrounding villages, ensuring no one was left behind. Thanks to the efforts of the Don Bosco community, transportation was provided so attendees could reach the event with ease and comfort.

At the heart of “Health for All” was a powerful message: no one should be denied access to health services. Over 10 dedicated doctors, covering a wide range of specialties, volunteered their time and expertise to examine patients, offering free medical consultations and follow-ups. Free medication was also distributed to those in need, bringing relief to many families who often struggle to afford essential treatments.

The Italian Army’s MTC4L brought a unique and dynamic element to the event by offering self-defense sessions, empowering participants—especially women and youth—with practical skills for personal safety.

The Salesians of Don Bosco also made sure the day was not just about physical health, but about nurturing the spirit. Their team provided nutritious meals, awareness sessions on different topics, and fun, engaging activities for children—from animated shows to interactive games that brought laughter and joy to the youngest guests.

The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with hope, unity, and gratitude. People from all walks of life came together, not just to receive, but to connect, learn, and celebrate the strength of community.
