INDUSTRIAL MECHANICS – BT

Program Catalogue – BT1 Industrial Mechanics (MI) (DBT) – Academic Year 2025–2026

General Program Overview – BT1 MI

The first-year Technical Baccalaureate – Industrial Mechanics (MI) introduces students to the fundamentals of industrial mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, and machine maintenance. This first year aims to develop the essential technical skills students need to work correctly on industrial equipment.

The main objectives of BT1 MI are:

  • understand the general operation of mechanical and electrical systems;
  • acquire basic skills in fitting, assembly, welding, and tool handling;
  • become familiar with pneumatic and hydraulic circuits;
  • develop the ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
  • adopt good safety and workshop practices;
  • strengthen knowledge of the general subjects needed in the industrial field.

General Subjects

Technical French

Development of written and spoken communication, comprehension of technical documents, and preparation of simple reports.
