BT1 PES

General Presentation of the BT1 PES Program

The Technical Certificate – 1st Year (BT1) in Physical Education and Sports represents the first stage of a progressive training pathway focused on physical development, understanding movement, and initiation into fundamental sports disciplines. This year lays the essential foundations for progression to BT2 and BT3.

The main objectives of BT1 PES are to:

  • Develop basic physical abilities: endurance, strength, and coordination;
  • Introduce students to general principles of motor skills, hygiene, and health;
  • Introduce the foundations of individual and team sports disciplines;
  • Strengthen personal discipline, team spirit, and sports values;
  • Ensure an academic foundation through core general subjects.

General Education Subjects (260 hours – 10h/week)

  • Arabic 
    Development of written and oral expression; analysis of educational texts; communication adapted to school and sports contexts.
  • French 
    Reading, comprehension, and written expression; basics of professional communication applied to sports.
  • English 
    Introduction to sports English: basic vocabulary, instructions, and elementary listening comprehension.
  • Mathematics 
    Useful mathematical concepts: measurements, distances, conversions, and simple performance-related calculations.
  • Computer Science 
    Introduction to digital and office tools; research, presentations, and basic sports data tracking.
  • Pastoral Education

BT2 PES

General Presentation of the BT2 PES Program

The Technical Certificate – 2nd Year (BT2) in Physical Education and Sports is the continuation of BT1. This year strengthens physical, theoretical, and pedagogical competencies already acquired, while introducing more advanced concepts in anatomy, sports methodology, and motor skills.

The main objectives of BT2 are to:

  • Deepen the sports foundations introduced in BT1;
  • Develop understanding of sports teaching methods;
  • Improve physical condition, coordination, and performance;
  • Introduce more advanced concepts in anatomy, physiology, and movement psychology;
  • Prepare students for greater responsibilities in a sports setting.

BT3 PES

The Technical Certificate – 3rd Year (BT3) in Physical Education and Sports represents the year of expertise and professionalization. Students deepen their knowledge of sports sciences and develop advanced skills in movement analysis, physical performance, sports safety, and applied pedagogy.

The objective of BT3 is to prepare students to:

  • Understand advanced mechanisms of the human body under physical effort;
  • Analyze and optimize sports performance;
  • Master principles of nutrition, sports traumatology, and biomechanics;
  • Organize, supervise, and evaluate physical activities;
  • Adopt professional, safe, and responsible behavior.
