CEP – EDUCATIONAL AND PASTORAL COUNCIL

CEP – Educational and Pastoral Council

The CEP Council (Educational and Pastoral Council) plays a central role in the life of our Salesian school, DBT. It is the body of shared responsibility where Salesians and lay collaborators discern, plan, and evaluate together the mission of the school.

LEADERS OF CARE AND COMPASSION

Leaders of Care and Compassion

The Salesian Friars are the driving force of the CEP, animating and guiding its mission with dedication and pastoral leadership. Through their constant presence, listening, and commitment to the Salesian spirit of Saint John Bosco, they inspire the entire community and ensure that the CEP remains a living space of faith, education, and accompaniment for young people.

DON MARIO MURRU

SDB DIRECTOR

As Director, Don Mario Murru provides spiritual and educational leadership to the Salesian community and the school. Faithful to the vision of Saint John Bosco, he guides the CEP with wisdom, presence, and a strong commitment to the holistic growth of young people.

DON VITTORIO POZZO

PASTORAL COLLABORATOR

As a Pastoral Collaborator, Don Vittorio Pozzo actively supports the mission of the CEP through accompaniment, listening, and pastoral service. His dedication strengthens the spiritual life of the community and contributes to a caring and attentive educational environment.

DON LUCIANO BURATTI

ECONOMO

In his role as Economo, Don Luciano Buratti ensures the responsible management of resources in service of the Salesian mission. His work supports the sustainability of pastoral and educational activities, allowing the CEP to function effectively and faithfully.

DON DANY KERIO

RESPONSIBLE FOR SALESIAN YOUTH MINISTRY

As Responsible for Salesian Youth Ministry, Don Dany Kerio animates and coordinates initiatives dedicated to young people. Through formation, faith activities, and engagement, he helps the CEP remain dynamic and closely connected to the needs and aspirations of the youth.

Within the Reference Framework of Salesian Youth Ministry

the CEP is described as the “brain and heart of the educational and pastoral community (CEP).” Its main functions are:

Planning and Implementation

The CEP develops, updates, and follows up the Salesian Educational and Pastoral Project (PEPS), which guides all aspects of the school’s work: academic, technical, pastoral, cultural, and spiritual.

Coordination of Technical and Pastoral Dimensions

In a technical school, the CEP ensures that professional training is not reduced to mere technical competence, but is integrated with values, ethics, and personal accompaniment. It harmonizes workshop life, classroom teaching, and pastoral initiatives.

Community Animation

The CEP involves teachers, trainers, catechists, and pastoral animators in building a spirit of family, ensuring that the educational climate is marked by trust, reason, religion, and loving kindness.

Evaluation and Renewal

The CEP periodically evaluates educational outcomes, pastoral vitality, and vocational initiatives, making the necessary adjustments so that the institution remains both technically competent and authentically Salesian in spirit.

Shared Mission and Identity

The CEP ensures that the technical school remains faithful to Don Bosco’s Preventive System and to the Salesian mission of forming “good Christians and honest citizens.” It roots educational and technical formation in an evangelizing and humanizing perspective.

The CEP Council in a Salesian technical school is the body of leadership and discernment that ensures the integration of technical formation with Salesian pastoral formation, keeping Don Bosco’s mission alive in the world of work and vocational education.
